Bella Italia

Three months ago I was walking the streets of some beautiful artisitc city in Italy, but now I am here back in this same little town of Odessa, TX. There is no art here whatsoever, just a sahara dessert it seems like.

I miss the art, thousands and thousands of statues, the paintings in the churches that were all over the ceilings, the sisteen chappel. How great and beautiful is the art in Italy, not to forget the leaning tower of pissa and the colosseum; the history behind it all is amazing and so intriguing. I was in complete awe; Julius Ceasar claims that he turned a city of bricks into a city of marble and I must agree with him, it is the city of the gods.

As if the art was not sufficient allow me to go into describing their foods. Their foods are out of this world esp. because Italian food is my favorite food. The pizzas in Italy are so different than the pizzas here in America, esp the ones here in Odessa, TX. There is in all reality no comparison whatsoever. Here in Odessa the taste of the pizzas and the ingredients that they use is uhmmm a bit on the mediocre side when compared to the ones made in Italy. The freshness of the vegetables that were used... just absolutely fabulous, the crust was for the most part thin and crispy, the cheeses they used were so rich and creamy. Simply amazing. I find myself trying to cook Italian food more often trying to see if I can conquer that same Italian taste...needless to say that still has not became a reality, but I am enjoying the cooking of spaghetti, chicken fettucine and seafood spaghetti. It is at least stress relieving and fun; it allows me to go back in time and travel back to Italy again as I am cooking these Italian meals.

Back to school/Labor Day weekend

Classes began about 2 weeks ago and let me tell you it seems like everything since then has been just running so fast and so furious. I received my BBA in the fall of 2009 its almost been 2 years since I've graduated and now I am taking 2 marketing classes to waive a graduate marketing class. I figured taking 2 undergraduate courses would be easier than taking one graduate course ( well it was that and the fact that I am procrastinating and do not want to study for the GMAT...stupid test is 4 hours long...I do not like the fact that based on your GMAT scores you might or might not get admitted back into grad school...ridiculous I say...some people are just not good test takers, but that's besides the point.) , but I think I might be wrong. Balancing work and school ehhhh lets just say I am  not so used to it anymore; I am now working full time and only taking 2 classes...seems like my time management skills have gotten pretty rusty...that or maybe that this job I have now can be pretty freaking stressful...apparently even my Dr. seems to think that as well and gave me some kind of stress relieving medicine stuff.

I really like my 2 MRKT classes though...one is a sales class and I feel like it helps me be successful in my job affairs because thats what my job consists of anyway sales sales sales grrrrr sometimes a little too much sales and lots of pressure, but thats besides the point. My second MRKT class is social media and its a bit overwhelming it seems like we have so many projects, but at the end of the day I really do enjoy it. And that is why I find myself blogging here at this point in time...this is supposed to be a class grade...shes grading on the design of our blog here, but on the content and # of blogs we provide to her on blackboard so we will see how that goes. If you bloggers have any suggestions on the design of my blog please feel free to give me advice as I am still new to this "blogging thing". At the end of the day I do enjoy doing this, it feels like I am venting and like I can give out my personal opinions on anything and everything...it helps me de-stress (if that's a word). Plus I like to write it makes me feel good.

Thank God for Labor Day weekend though...you always get a break when you need it the most!!! Sooo live it out, love always and laugh it out all the time!!! These things will ALWAYS get you through the day... that and Gods amazing grace.
